Fasig-Tipton’s select yearlings sale takes place on August 5th and 6th, 2024 at Saratoga Springs, New York. Hips 1-120 will go to the sales ring on August 5th starting at 6:30pm. The sale will continue on August 6th at 6:30pm until its completion with hips 121-240.

As a reminder, all VTA members are welcome to enjoy our suites, 6 and 7, on the 4th floor for light food and a good view. Get out of the heat and enjoy the air conditioning with us between races.
Our suites will be open each race day, but please note the important dates below. On these days we will have increased hospitality with a bit heavier food. Keep in mind the days that will be structured differently are Legislative Day and Virginia Derby Day. Otherwise all current members are welcome!

The OBS two-year-old’s in training and horses of racing age sale is June 12-14. Under tack show takes place June 4-9 starting at 7:30am in Ocala, Florida. June 12th hips 1-350 will go to the sales ring. June 13th hips 351-700 will go to the sales ring. And concluding on June 14th hips 701-1027 and 1101-1115 will finish the sale at the ring.
Under tack show is as follows: June 4th hips 1-175; June 5th hips 176-350; June 6th hips 351-525; June 7th hips 526-700; June 8th hips 701-875; and June 9th hips 876-1027 and 1101-1115.

A reminder to all Virginia certified residency facilities and owners of outside 2-year-olds: any 2-year-olds wanting to be VA Certified MUST arrive at a participating Virginia facility no later than June 30th.

The Fasig-Tipton Midlantic two-year-olds in training sale is May 20th and 21st in Timonium, MD. May 20th hips 1-280 will go to the sales ring. Continuing on May 21st hips 281 to the end will finish the sale.

2023 was another successful year of Virginia racing and on May 3rd we celebrated our champion Virginia bred and certified horses! It was a beautiful evening under the tent at Great Meadow, which was filled with the owners, breeders, and fans of our Virginia horses. Gigante and his breeder, Ann Backer of Smitten Farm, took the evening’s top honors for 2023 Virginia bred Horse of the Year, champion Three-Year-Old colt and Co-breeder of the year.

Breeder of three Virginia champions in 2023, Audley Farm, also accepted plenty of silver during the evening. Audley accepted honors as Co-breeder of the year along with trophies for Virginia bred two-year-old, older mare and turf sprinter champions.
